Dogs

Dogs and well behaved owners

We are delighted to be able to offer you our dog friendly holiday cottage. We offer a warm welcome to your dog and hope they enjoy their holiday as much as you do. We ask that guests take extra care to respect the cottage  with a few sensible ground rules, so that we are able to continue to welcome dogs into Rydon Stables.

The garden is small but completely fenced which is dog proof unless you have an escapee dog!

Please do not let your dog foul in the garden - there are lovely walks round the village to enjoy.

Respect our neighbours, keep your dog on a lead and pick up after your pet. Muddy or wet paws can be dried off in the garden, use the hose pipe provided and use areas with suitable flooring e.g. the kitchen and please feel free to use the vacuum cleaner and mop provided if necessary.

Please do not allow your dog on to furniture. Remember that this is our home and not all guests staying at the cottage will be such dog lovers.

Dogs may react to being left in a strange environment, it is kinder to take them with you.

We must point out that any damage caused by pets will have to be paid for.

Beaches allow full access for dogs from the beginning of October to the end of April with restricted access during the summer months - signage at each beach will give you further information.

We have a list of dog-friendly Devon pubs and recommended walks which you will find in the cottage.

We provide inexpensive throws for covering furniture, an old towel for wet dogs and a drinking bowl and rug.
